It's a very simple formula, a finite supply plus unlimited use soon
equals no supply. The way we all currently live and work is not sustainable,
we are using up
irreplaceable
resources
at a
faster
rate
every day.
Ok so we could sit around in a 'John Laurie' type manner and say "We're all doomed" as a lot of talking heads & pressure groups seem to be doing and advocate that we all return to a middle age type of serfdom where we are controlled by a ruling elite of media types, celebrities and policed by a fanatical cadre of politically correct eco-warriors.
Here at i-B we take a rather more pragmatic approach to all of this. Technology isn't going to go away, the genie is well and truly out of the bottle and no matter what some people think it is not going to be that easy to stuff it back into the bottle.
We beleive that the most sustainable way forward is to utilise the best that current technology has to offer, to continue developing more efficient technologies and couple that with frequent, small, incremental improvements in our use of resources and in the way we all work and live will result in a huge change. It isn't going to happen overnight but small changes make a big difference when they are added together.
The following sub pages are intended to give you an insight on our views and on the way we believe we should best utilise this technology and the way we should work now and in the future. At i-B we take the long term view, anything else just isn't sustainable
